Model overview
The Hyundai BAYON is an India-spec mid-size SUV that Hyundai calls an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, due to launch on 26 October 2026. It is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm, with a choice of six-speed manual or IVT automatic. The cabin centres on dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays running NVIDIA-accelerated connected navigation, with Hyundai's first generative AI voice assistant using Perplexity and SoundHound technology. Up to 19 controllers support over-the-air updates, and more than 500 embedded voice commands work across several Indian languages. Bookings are open for INR 11,000, with deliveries planned for the festive season.
