Forthing

Forthing is an automotive brand associated with China. Its commonly cited modern founding or brand-launch year is 2001, and its headquarters or principal operating base is in Liuzhou, Guangxi. Understanding that background is important because some names began as independent companies, while others were created later as specialist marques within larger automotive groups. Forthing, also known as Dongfeng Fengxing in China, was launched in 2001 by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor. Its parent operation has roots in the 1950s and experience producing trucks and passenger vehicles in Liuzhou. Forthing gave the company a dedicated identity for family and lifestyle vehicles. The marque first gained recognition through MPVs and later broadened its range with crossovers, SUVs and electrified products.
