Seres

Seres is an automotive brand associated with China. Its commonly cited modern founding or brand-launch year is 2016, and its headquarters or principal operating base is in Chongqing. Understanding that background is important because some names began as independent companies, while others were created later as specialist marques within larger automotive groups. Seres began as an electric-vehicle initiative within Sokon Group, a Chongqing industrial business whose roots go back to 1986. The SF Motors operation was established in Silicon Valley in 2016, and the Seres identity was subsequently adopted for intelligent electric vehicles. The parent company later renamed itself Seres Group. The brand developed through international research activity and a strategic technology relationship with Huawei for selected vehicles sold in China. It has moved from smaller electric crossovers toward more sophisticated smart-EV and range-extended products.
