Haval

Haval is an automotive brand associated with China. Its commonly cited modern founding or brand-launch year is 2013, and its headquarters or principal operating base is in Baoding, Hebei. Understanding that background is important because some names began as independent companies, while others were created later as specialist marques within larger automotive groups. Haval began as a Great Wall Motor SUV model line; the original Hover or Haval CUV appeared in 2005. Following the strong performance of later products, particularly the H6, GWM separated Haval into a standalone SUV brand in March 2013.
