BYD Da Han EV Launched in China From CNY 235,900 With 1,008 km Range

BYD Da Han EV Launched in China From CNY 235,900 With 1,008 km Range

BYD has put its new flagship sedan, the Da Han EV, on sale in China, with three versions priced from CNY 235,900 to CNY 275,900. Every final price sits below the pre-sale figures, and the headline numbers are hard to ignore: up to 1,008 km of CLTC range and a 10-97% flash charge in about 9 minutes.

This is a China market launch. Pakistan pricing, availability and specification have not been announced.

What is confirmed

The Da Han EV launched on 13 October 2026 as the new top model in BYD's Dynasty line. All three versions use a 102.3 kWh second-generation Blade Battery and come with LiDAR driver assistance as standard.

China prices

  1. RWD LiDAR Premium (1,008 km): CNY 235,900 (pre-sale CNY 249,900, down CNY 14,000)
  2. RWD LiDAR Flagship (1,008 km): CNY 249,900 (pre-sale CNY 269,900, down CNY 20,000)
  3. AWD LiDAR Flagship (880 km): CNY 275,900 (pre-sale CNY 299,900, down CNY 24,000)

Launch benefits in China include one year of free flash charging and a trade-in subsidy of CNY 10,000 for existing BYD owners or CNY 6,000 for owners of other brands.

Battery, range and charging

The rear-wheel-drive versions are listed at 1,008 km on the CLTC cycle, while the all-wheel-drive model is rated at 880 km. BYD quotes a 10-97% flash charge in 9 minutes, with roughly 3 extra minutes needed at -30°C.

Range warning: CLTC figures are typically more generous than WLTP or real-world results. WLTP estimates of around 816 km (RWD) and 713 km (AWD) have been reported, but these are not official BYD figures and should be treated as indicative only. The 9-minute charge also depends on BYD's own high-power flash charging network.

Performance and hardware

Item RWD AWD
Power 370 kW (496 hp) 570 kW (764 hp)
Torque (reported) 500 Nm 910 Nm
0-100 km/h 4.9 s 3.3 s
CLTC range 1,008 km 880 km

The body measures 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall on a 3,130 mm wheelbase, with a drag coefficient of 0.197. Standard equipment across the range includes DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering with a 4.95 m turning radius, God's Eye B LiDAR driver assistance and a 31-speaker Devialet audio system.

Why it matters

A near-full charge in under 10 minutes on a 100 kWh-class battery shifts the EV conversation from range anxiety towards refuelling parity. The cuts against pre-sale pricing also show how fierce competition remains at the top of China's EV market, as BYD pushes its Dynasty family further upmarket.

What remains unconfirmed

A plug-in hybrid Da Han has been filed for approval but has not been priced. Torque and WLTP figures come from reports rather than official BYD material, so final numbers may differ.

Is it coming to Pakistan?

Not confirmed. BYD has no announced Pakistan launch for the Da Han EV, and CNY prices should not be converted into an expected local price: import duties, taxes, freight and charging infrastructure would all change the picture. Flash charging in particular needs dedicated hardware that does not exist locally today.

Bottom line

The Da Han EV is a serious flagship statement for China, pairing a 1,008 km CLTC rating with 9-minute charging from CNY 235,900. Treat it as a signal of where BYD's technology is heading, and wait for an official announcement before assuming any local launch.
