Chery Q pre-bookings have opened in Pakistan with a reported booking amount of PKR 1.5 million ahead of the electric car's formal launch at PAPS 2026.
This update is important for buyers who want an early delivery position, but the booking amount is only one part of the decision. The final vehicle price, variant structure, delivery schedule and complete Pakistan-specific specification sheet remain the details that determine whether the reservation makes financial sense.
What the PKR 1.5 Million Payment Means
The reported PKR 1.5 million amount is a pre-booking deposit. It is not the full retail price of the Chery Q.
Before making a payment, buyers should ask the dealership whether the deposit is fully refundable, whether any cancellation deduction applies and whether the booking protects them from a later price increase. These terms should appear on an official form or receipt.
Do not rely only on a verbal commitment. The receipt should identify the model, amount paid, customer name, booking date and dealership. It should also state what happens if the final price or delivery schedule is unacceptable.
Final Price and Variants Remain TBA
Chery has not yet announced the complete Pakistan retail price and final variant structure. Registration, taxes, insurance and any charging-installation cost may sit outside the advertised ex-factory amount.
Buyers should therefore set a maximum total budget before booking. If the final on-road amount exceeds that limit, the refund conditions become especially important.
It is also possible that equipment will vary by variant. A lower-priced version may not include every feature promoted for the vehicle internationally. Treat Online Specifications Carefully
Chery Pakistan identifies the Q as a full battery-electric vehicle with rear-wheel drive and a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Its official product page also promotes driver-assistance technology, a surround-view camera and a city-focused cabin.
However, the same Pakistan page currently shows conflicting battery and output figures in different sections. CarvoltX therefore recommends waiting for a signed local specification sheet instead of selecting whichever online number appears more attractive.
The document should confirm battery capacity, motor output, torque, official test-cycle range, AC charging, DC charging, charging-port standard and warranty coverage.
International specifications can provide context, but they are not proof of what Pakistan will receive.
Check Home Charging Before You Reserve
An EV is easiest to own when routine charging is available at home or work. Ask whether a home charger is included, who installs it and which electrical protections are required.
A qualified electrician should check the available load, cable route, earthing and circuit protection. Apartment residents may also need written approval from building management before a charger can be installed in a shared parking area.
If you expect to depend on public charging, map the stations near your home, workplace and regular intercity routes. Check connector compatibility, operating hours, reliability and charging price.
Ask About Delivery and Price Adjustment
An early booking does not automatically mean immediate delivery. Ask for the estimated delivery month and whether allocation depends on colour or variant.

Waiting may be wiser if your budget is fixed, you cannot install a charger or you need confirmed delivery before a specific date. There is no advantage in securing an early queue position if the final terms do not match your use case.
The Chery Q is an interesting addition to Pakistan's EV market, but the safest reservation is an informed one. Confirm the refund policy, total price, local specification, charger package, warranty and delivery timeline before transferring PKR 1.5 million.
