Hyundai India: record month, Venue leads

Hyundai Motor India dispatched 82,299 vehicles, its best month since starting in India, up 17.7%. Domestic sales hit a record 62,799 and exports rose 21.1% to 19,500. The Venue had its best ever domestic month with 13,017 units.

Tata Motors: EVs up 75%

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles dispatched 75,426 vehicles, up 23%. Domestic sales rose 21% to 73,894 and EV dispatches climbed 75% to 16,244.

Mahindra: SUV record

Mahindra sold 73,338 SUVs in India, its highest ever, and 131,109 vehicles in total including commercial vehicles and exports, also a record. Exports rose 77% to 7,102.

A word of caution

These are wholesale numbers, meaning cars shipped from factories to dealers. Retail registrations for October were weaker than a year ago, so November will show whether showroom demand keeps up with the stock dealers have taken on.
