BYD Seal vs Dongfeng 007 in Pakistan: EV Price, Range and Verdict

BYD Seal vs Dongfeng 007 in Pakistan: EV Price, Range and Verdict

Two electric sedans sit a 21.7% sticker gap apart in Pakistan. The Dongfeng 007 Essence lists at PKR 11,900,000 ex-factory. The BYD Seal Dynamic sits at PKR 14,790,000. Gap: PKR 2,890,000.

Same sedan / EV lane on the sheet, both with single-speed automatics. Pack size, labelled range cycles and how complete the Battery and Charging block is differ sharply. Seal overview text also shows a wider lineup price band of about PKR 1.48-1.70 crore; this guide sticks to the Dynamic sticker on the compare page. Open the interactive comparison to inspect every cell.

BYD Seal vs Dongfeng 007: quick verdict

Higher ground clearance Dongfeng 007 Essence 163 mm vs 149 mm

Price and positioning

The 007 Essence undercuts the Seal Dynamic by PKR 2.89m on the default trims. Seal overview still lists a PKR 1.48-1.70 crore model range for the line; treat that as lineup context, not this Dynamic sticker. Confirm registration and insurance with the on-road cost calculator before treating the gap as the full ownership story.

Battery, range and charging

The Seal Dynamic lists a Blade Battery at 61.44 kWh, Battery & Charging range 510 km (NEDC), energy use 15.4 kWh/100km, AC onboard 7 kW, DC 110 kW, home charge about 8.6 hours (0-100%), and DC 10-80% about 37 min. Battery warranty is listed at 8 years / 160,000 km. Overview and Engine Range rows also show 650 km without a cycle label. Prefer the labelled NEDC cell until a dated brochure resolves the conflict.

The 007 Essence lists a Lithium pack at 58.4 kWh, catalogue range 550 km (cycle not labelled on the Engine / Overview row), home charge about 10 hours, Engine-section fast charge about 23 min, and battery warranty 8 years / 200,000 km. AC onboard is listed at 6.6 kW in Comfort. Critical Battery and Charging detail columns for the 007 (electric range cycle, energy consumption, AC/DC charging power, DC 10-80%) are blank on the live matrix. Do not invent those figures.

Both list CCS2 charge ports. Range warning: NEDC and unlabelled overview kilometres are not interchangeable, and none is a Pakistan highway guarantee. Cross-check top-up plans with the EV charging time tool.

Performance and dimensions

Motor power is listed at 201 HP and 310 Nm for the Seal Dynamic, with 0-100 about 5.9 s. The 007 lists 215 HP; torque, drive type, 0-100 and Performance-section top speed are blank for the 007 in that Performance block. Seal top-speed rows conflict on the live sheet: Engine Max Speed 220 KM/H vs Performance Top Speed 180 km/h. The 007 Max Speed shows 180 KM/H. Seal drive type is RWD. Both list regenerative braking.

Shells are close: Seal 4,800 mm long vs 007 4,880 mm; width 1,875 vs 1,895 mm; height both 1,460 mm; wheelbase 2,920 vs 2,915 mm. Ground clearance favours the 007 (163 mm vs 149 mm). Seal boot is listed at 400 L; the 007 boot cell is blank. Door count differs on the sheet (Seal 4 doors, 007 5 doors) despite the shared Sedan label. Speakers are 12 vs 19; both list 15.6 in displays. Climate is dual-zone on the Seal and single-zone on the 007. Tyres are 225/50 R18 on the Seal and 235/45 R19 on the 007.

Vehicle warranty wording also differs: Seal lists 6 yrs / 150,000 km vehicle and 8 yrs / 160,000 km battery; the 007 Performance warranty block is blank while Engine battery warranty shows 8 yrs / 200,000 km.

Features and equipment

Shared Yes columns include ABS, AEB, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, surround view, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charger, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Seal marks RCTB, ANCAP/NCAP 5, heated seats, power boot, wireless CarPlay, dual-zone climate and parking sensors where the 007 sheet does not on those columns. The 007 marks 540 degree camera, moving object detection, fog lights, rear folding seat and driver lumbar where Seal does not.

Many Seal marketing-style feature rows appear as Yes on only one side and Not verified on the other (rotating 15.6-inch screen, HUD, dual wireless charging). Treat one-sided Not verified rows as unverified, not confirmed absences.

Which one should you buy?

Choose the Dongfeng 007 Essence if you want the lower sticker, the higher listed range figure, more ground clearance and more speakers, and you accept a smaller published pack plus many blank Battery and Charging / Performance cells.

Choose the BYD Seal Dynamic if you prioritise the Blade Battery, labelled NEDC range, filled DC power and torque rows, ANCAP/NCAP 5 and denser published cabin kit, and you accept the PKR 2.89m premium on this default trim.

Bottom line

Same EV sedan label, different data completeness. Confirm the Seal 510 vs 650 km range conflict and blank Dongfeng charging cells in writing, then cast your vote on the BYD Seal vs Dongfeng 007 comparison page.
